Overview
The Senior Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily workflow across multiple production teams in a manufacturing and assembly environment to maximize efficiency and ensure completion of daily and short-term production goals. This role serves as a key operational leader on the floor, providing direction to Team Leads and team members, resolving complex production issues, and ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

The Senior Team Lead partners closely with management to communicate operational needs, drive continuous improvement, and enhance overall department effectiveness, production methods, and working conditions.

  • Oversees and coordinates daily workflow across multiple production teams or lines to ensure alignment with production goals
  • Provides direction and support to Team Leads and team members to maintain efficiency, consistency, and accountability
  • Adjusts staffing, workflow, and priorities in real time to meet changing production demands
  • Monitors and is accountable for performance metrics including productivity, quality, and safety, taking corrective action as needed
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for complex production, equipment, and team-related issues, resolving in a timely manner
  • Reviews upcoming production schedules (e.g., next day installs) to ensure readiness, completion, and adherence to quality standards
  • Coaches and develops Team Leads and employees to reinforce strong performance, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to improve processes, workflow efficiency, and overall working conditions
  • Ensures adherence to all safety guidelines and promotes a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Communicates effectively with leadership and cross-functional partners, providing updates, risks, and recommended solutions

What You Bring To Us
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 - 5 years' experience and/or training in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • Based in Elmhurst, Illinois
  • Experienced as a Team Lead is required
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Abiltity to safely operate a sit-down forklift
  • Comprehensive understanding of all equipment in the building.
  • Ability to work in a faced paced, multitasking environment.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to pass background checks and investigations due to foreign, federal, state and local regulations; based on position responsibility and sensitivity, periodic check and reinvestigations may be performed
  • Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
  • Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
  • Possesses focused attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
