Responsibilities
The Omnichannel Fulfillment Operations Manager owns and improves ecommerce fulfillment execution across store-based and drop-ship channels to deliver a seamless customer experience. This role is responsible for identifying breakdowns in ecommerce order flow, driving root-cause analysis, and influencing operational and system changes that improve key fulfillment metrics. The position partners closely with Store Operations, Drop-Ship, Technology, Customer Service, Transportation, and Merchandising teams to improve performance across BOPIS, ship-from-store, and vendor-direct fulfillment programs. This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position with no direct reports initially and a hybrid work arrangement based at The Container Store's Support Center in Coppell, TX.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Owns day-to-day ecommerce fulfillment performance across store fulfillment and drop-ship channels, including BOPIS, ship-from-store, and vendor-direct fulfillment
  • Monitors and improves key fulfillment KPIs including ship speed, fill rates, order accuracy, cancellations, and damage performance
  • Identifies fulfillment execution issues, conducts root-cause analysis, and influences corrective actions across systems, vendors, and store operations
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for omnichannel fulfillment workflows, order sourcing logic, and execution standards
  • Supports onboarding of new stores and drop-ship vendors, including configuration, training, and operational readiness validation
  • Develops and maintains fulfillment performance reporting, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses to support operational decision-making
  • Serves as the primary business owner for fulfillment-related systems and data inputs, including Rithum (CommerceHub), Order Management Systems, and store order processing tools
  • Collaborates closely with Store Operations, Drop-Ship Business teams, Buyers, Vendors, Customer Service, Transportation, and Technology teams to improve fulfillment outcomes
  • Escalates recurring or systemic fulfillment issues with clear data, impact assessment, and recommended solutions
  • Supports reduction of customer service contacts over time by addressing systemic fulfillment issues rather than individual order exceptions
Experience and Skills Required
  • College degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ecommerce fulfillment, omnichannel operations, store fulfillment, supply chain operations, or related environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting BOPIS, ship-from-store, and/or drop-ship fulfillment programs
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience working directly in data to identify trends and drive operational decisions
  • Experience documenting, improving, and influencing operational processes across cross-functional teams
  • Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area; role housed in Coppell, TX
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent based on business needs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Order Management Systems and fulfillment platforms (Rithum/CommerceHub or similar)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL
  • Retail or omnichannel ecommerce experience in multi-store environments
  • Exposure to vendor performance management and compliance
